In 2026, we need music more than ever to uplift and affirm us. That’s what you’ll find on my updated Super Pride Playlist.

You might notice some changes:

• Tens, tens, tens across the board: I’ve incorporated some Ballroom songs such as “Alive” by legend Kevin Aviance.
• How did I miss these before? David Bowie, Cher, and Judy Garland have taken their rightful places on the playlist.
• Just turn around now / You’re not welcome anymore: Goodbye, Gloria Gaynor and Village People. I don’t like the company you keep these days.
• Donna Summer is back—provisionally: Summer’s relationship with LGBTQ people is complicated. I keep vacillating on whether or not to include her. Right now, it feels right to include “I Feel Love.” I may change my mind tomorrow.
