๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!

LGBTQ people across the United States should credit their civil rights and social acceptance to one woman: Marsha P. Johnson. While the history of the Stonewall riots isnโ€™t quite clear, itโ€™s believed that Johnson โ€” an African-American trans woman โ€” is the first one to fight back by throwing โ€œthe shot glass heard โ€™round the world.โ€ LGBTQ people must honor Johnson by remembering that our struggle is intertwined with all other struggles for freedom and dignity โ€” including the push for trans rights and the Black Lives Matter movement. Rest in power, Marsha.
